MORE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

WHAT I WORE:
Crop Top - Topshop
Trousers - ASOS
Heels - Faith at Debenhams
Bag - Michael Kors

This is such a versatile crop top, that I just had to pick it up! It's from Topshop and they have it in other colours too, my best friend has the green which is really beautiful, and I believe there is also a dark red/ burgundy colour. I wore it with my favourite trousers, I picked to wear these quite tactically as I knew I would be eating LOTS of food, so a tight skirt would not be the best idea! And then I wore them with my stroppy sandal heels. ALSO please say you noticed the beautiful Michael Kors bag on my shoulder?!? This was a birthday gift from my boyfriend's family, it is beautiful! Finally my lipstick is Diva by MAC.

WHAT I ATE:
We decided to go to Dolce Vita, which is in Reading. The food was amazing, and would highly recommend going there! It is a little bit more pricey than some restaurants, but extremely worth it. Obviously I had 3 courses! First off was the asparagus with poached egg and a tomato based sauce, then chicken and mushroom risotto, and finally sticky toffee pudding!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas period, I can't wait!

Lots of love,
Alice

MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

I AM NOW 21!!!

These are some pictures of when I celebrated my birthday in Portsmouth on Thursday! I had such a good time! Every year I've got to celebrate my birthday with my best friend Emma as her birthday is the 15th! It's actually so nice to celebrate it together! We had some people over for pre-drinks, then we went out clubbing.

The skirt I wore is the same as the pink one I've posted about previously. I really like the shape/style of the skirt, as I think it is quite flattering for my body shape. The crop top I think is a must have to have in your wardrobe, as it will literally go with anything, but has a really nice shape to it. Finally my boots are my good ol' new look ones, which I wear daily (another great buy).

I also celebrated my birthday with my family, and will post about it soon!

Lots of love,

DUBLIN 3 - EXPLORING

For our last day we decided to just have a mooch around the City, and didn't really have many particular plans. The pictures shown are of Trinity College (University in Dublin), and St. Stephen's Green. There was a Christmas market in the green, but to be perfectly honest it wasn't all that, so we just had a walk around instead. Someone I knew went to the zoo, which I wish I did as the pictures looked really good!

Overall, Dublin was really, really good. As I mentioned before if you are at Uni and not sure about going on a certain trip then I would recommend just to DO IT.
I don't think I will rush back to Dublin, as I'm not sure if there is much new stuff to do, but the night life was really good, so for a weekend city break I would recommend.

Hope you liked my Dublin Diaries.

DUBLIN 2 - GUINNESS FACTORY

So in the day on Saturday, myself and the girls decided to go visit the Guinness factory. Now, I don't like Guinness, but it was such a good day out. If you are visiting Dublin I would very much recommend spending time out to take a tour around.

As well as learning about all what goes into making Guinness (which is more interesting than it sounds), there are also a couple of extra bits which make it more fun. You get to learn how to properly 'taste' guinness, you go into a really white room to heighten your senses, then they go through how you need to take a proper gulp to taste the guinness correctly! Also you get a free pint of guinness with your ticket, and you are able to pull your own pint. This was also really quite technical, but really fun, and as you can see I was really happy about getting a certificate!!

Lots of Love,

DUBLIN 1

Top - New Look - SO CHEAP TAKE A LOOK
Necklace - Bought on Holiday

So last weekend I went to Dublin!! I went with the Geography social at Uni, and it was AMAZING!

The journey was so long, but after about 12 hours we finally arrived. We stayed at the International Youth Hostel, which was perfectly fine for what we wanted. The overall trip was about £110, which was really quite reasonable. I would highly recommend going on any university trips, I went with two of my best friends but spent all of my time with the gorgeous ladies in the last photograph. Trips are really good to meet new people and build more friendships!

These are just a few pictures from our first night out! We went to a couple of bars, one in Temple Bar, which was really good! The drinks were pretty expensive, but I was already told that before I went so I was prepared.

Take a look back in the next few days with bits I got up to whilst I was there!!

A COMFY OOTD

Pumps - Primark

So these trousers you may have recognised from my previous posts to wear for a dinner party, but they were so comfortable I decided to wear them in the day! I can't express how comfy these are, and they were only £18, which is an absolute bargain! From both this post, and the previous one it shows you can wear them both in the day and night! This kimono is a gorgeous monochrome pattern (the link shows the pattern better), and thought I would wear the bright pink pumps to brighten up the outfit!

I have decided that during December I am going to try and blog every other day! I just got back from Dublin, so you will see the first post of that in two days time, and during the month of December I am doing quite  a lot of interesting things including visiting Dublin, Berlin, IM 21!!!!, obviously Christmas (I am the biggest fan of Christmas ever!!), and a few other bits and bobs that I will be posting about!

Hope you enjoy all my December posts!

SOPHISTICATED DINNER PARTY CELEBRATION

OUTFIT:
Crop Top - New Look (bought from ASOS)
Trousers - ASOS
Heels - Primark (old)
Clutch - ASOS
So I have never been to a 'dinner party' before so what do you wear? After chatting to my girls a lot of them were going to wear the midi style dress, which I absolutely love, but it just doesn't fit well on me, so I went for these high wasted trousers, and this really lovely crop top. I am so glad these pieces fitted as it was a last minute ASOS shop a couple of days before! The shoes are old, but I knew I would never wear them on a night out, so a night sitting down would be a perfect time to wear them!! haha.

MAKEUP AND HAIR:
Eyeshadow - MAC Antiqued, MAC Handwritten
Lips - MAC Rubywoo
I can't remember the hair tongs name, but a big barrelled curling tong will do the trick!
I am so lucky to have my sisters to do my hair and my makeup for me! The hair style I wanted to go for was 50's style waves.. they didn't turn out completely as hoped, but the side parting, and waves towards my face did the trick! I know this picture of my makeup is terrible, but I thought I would add one in anyway. The eyeshadow was gorgeous and completely different colour to what I'm used to wearing for a nightout. The Antiqued colour is a copper bronze kind of colour, this was used with Handwritten (also from MAC), which was used in the outer corners, and is a matte brown.

THE NIGHT:
The night was amazing! It was to celebrate one of my best friends 21st (Otis, 3rd picture down). It was really nice to do something other than a night out with all of my closest friends.  His mum did all the cooking, (A THREE COURSE DINNER!!) which was extremely tasty! Everyone made such an effort; the girls looked gorgeous and the boys looked extremely dapper, and was just an absolutely delightful evening!

I really need to start planning my 21st, I just have no ideas, and not sure I can top this one!

A BEST FRIENDS 21ST

Top - H&M
Skirt - River Island
Heels - Faith At Debenhams

Last weekend myself and my Uni girls went back to my best friend's- Melissa's- home town (Seer Green), to celebrate her birthday. The weekend was AMAZING. Her parents hired out a hot tub, we had a takeaway, we went to the crazy bear (posh restaurant) and had a glorious cocktail, and then went out; we really packed it in! The hot-tub was so good, I'm now thinking I want to hire one for my birthday!

I didn't really know what to wear on the night out, so I went shopping and found this gem of a skirt in River Island. It was only £25 which I thought was pretty good, so thought I had to buy it. The top is part of my co-ord set, but it went really nicely with the skirt! Finally my heels, which actually didn't kill my feet, which was a rather nice surprise considering I do not ever wear heels!

Any ideas how I can celebrate my 21st that's coming up soon?

LAYERS

Gilet - F&F at Tesco

Last weekend I went out to celebrate Dan's sister's 18th birthday! We went out of a gorgeous meal at Mamma Mia restaurant in Hartney Whitney, the meal was so good! Anyway this is what I wore…

I haven't got a gilet, so I stole this off of my sister (who actually forgot she had it!!), but what a great piece to layer with! I'm currently searching the internet to try find one similar to this one! These jeans are the leather wash ones from Topshop, they made the look a bit more nicer than just wearing standard jeans, and finally my trusty boots!

One of my sisters did my hair, and one did my makeup. My hair is two french plaits at the front of the hair and then I just pinned them back. My makeup is a lovely smokey eye, I'm not too sure on the products, but I know one shadow was called copper plate.
What's your current must-have?

THE KYLIE JENNER LIP

Everyone is obsessed with Kylie Jenner ATM, and I am most definitely one of the obsessed!  There have been lots of tutorials about using different lip colours to get you the Kylie Jenner inspired lip, but I have taken note from pixiwoo (ultimate makeup artists) and bought these two products; I got these recommendations from the tutorial linked here

The lip pencil is a dark nude, and the lipstick a lighter nude. I apply the lip pencil all over my lip, then the lipstick on top, but leaving a clearer outline of the lip pencil on show. I think the combination of the lip pencil underneath the lipstick makes it stay on sooooo well! The other night I went out for dinner, then drinks and it stayed on close to perfect!!

The picture doesn't really do the lip justice. You know when you take loads of selfies trying to show your lipstick, and none work? Well this was the best out of the bunch, the serious ones were just NOT happening! But I am non-stop wearing this lip currently so better pictures in upcoming posts will show it better!!

I'd love to here any recommendations on getting the Kylie Jenner lip?!

CASUAL OOTD

Jeans - Topshop
Bag - Topshop
Boots - Debenhams (see previous post)

This is just a really simple outfit I wore recently when I went to a Christmas Market (too early…never!). Topshop are really good for simple T-shirts, but also any band or TV programme tops HMV are pretty good, as I have only recently found out. These kind of Tee's are good just to fling on with jeans and boots, to wear a really simple outfit.

THE BROWN BOOT

Boots - Nine West @ Kurt Geiger @ Debenhams

OK people, these pictures do not do these boots justice!! They are BEAUTIFUL. Working on the accessories department within Debenhams means I am constantly lusting over new footwear, bags, and basically any accessory there is, and when I saw these come in on one of our concessions I just HAD to buy them. At full price they are £115, which I know is really expensive, but when I bought them, and they currently still are, they have 20% off!

Firstly I bought two different sizes in two different colours, they have a black also, but because I have a black boot I went for this taupe colour. I went for the bigger size out of the 5 or 6 I bought as I thought I would definitely wear socks with them, especially as we are going into winter.

These boots I normally wear with jeans rolled up so that you can see wear the boots cut down towards the foot a little. I am sure these would also go well with skirts and dresses.

So what do you think?!? Hope you like them as much as I do, as they are the most expensive thing I've got in my wardrobe currently!!

THE BLACK BOOT

Hey Guys,
I just wanted to share my new go-to black boots for this winter! These are from New Look; they are chunky, and have a bit of detail by the zip at the side. These are perfect for my sort of style, and will go with everything I wear, I have worn them on nights-out and in the day. I think New Look have got a great selection of winter boots in currently, and they are all extremely affordable, so I would highly recommend you go and check them out! Next post will be my go-to brown boots (which are BEAUTIFUL), so make sure you keep an eye out!

SOUTHAMPTON CELEBRATIONS

Co-ord - H&M
Shoes - New Look

This weekend I went to Southampton to celebrate one of my good friends birthday! She is also a blogger check here out here! I bought this co-ord a while ago after I saw it in a magazine, but I think it is still in stores. We went to Oceana, which was good although there were only two rooms open, which I thought was strange for a Saturday night! I loved spending time with my girls, as we never meet up as much as some of us are at Uni!

What did you get unto this weekend?

NIGHT OUT OUT

Crop Top - H&M
Skirt - H&M
Boots - New Look (I know you can't see them, will post about them soon)

Tiny post just to show you what I wore when I went out last week. I wasn't on a social so I could wear normal clothing which was nice to dress up! This is a sheer(ish) crop top, so I make sure I wear a black bra underneath it, and this is the leather skirt that I have shown in a recent post! I believe both items you can still get in store. I have finally persuaded my housemate to learn how to french plait, which I think looks super cute, plus in a sweaty club it's a bonus to have it up and away from your face. The make up I wore was all from the original naked pallet, and I went for darkish lips (quite hard to see in this pic).
I really want a dark lip colour to wear on nights out, so if you have any recommendations let me know!?
